Schedule, access and logistics

If you want an in-depth look at Rome's most popular monuments and historical sites and are looking for a full-day trip, then the "Best of Rome" tour is ideal for you. At the beginning of the tour, your Welcome driver will pick you up directly at your chosen accommodation and take you on a personalized journey through the most iconic, historical and beautiful sites in Rome. Although your tour is completely customizable and points of interest can be added or removed, we suggest using the following itinerary as a basis. You'll begin your tour in ancient Rome, where you'll be dazzled by the rich history and exquisite architecture. At this stop you will find the Roman Forum, the Circus Maximus, an ancient Roman chariot racing stadium, the Emperor's Palace and, last but not least, the impressive and magnificent Colosseum. You will then travel along the "Road of the Temples" to the vibrant city center, Piazza Venezzia, and into the religious heart of Rome. At this stop you will have the opportunity to explore the Pantheon, one of the most famous and best preserved ancient buildings in the world, and the Trevi Fountain, where you can recreate your favorite scene from La Dolce Vita, or simply throw a coin into the fountain to secure a second trip to the eternal city. It's also worth visiting Piazza Navona while you're in this area, as it's the perfect place to soak up some of the culture, take photos next to the Fountain of the Four Rivers, and try some of the best ice cream in the city. Once you're halfway through your tour, we suggest stopping for an authentic Italian lunch to rest your feet and fuel up for the rest of the afternoon. Your welcome driver will be happy to give you recommendations on the best local cuisine; However, if you have your eye on a specific location, your driver will be happy to take you there. After a delicious and refreshing lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit some of the less touristy sites in Rome, the places that make the Eternal City so unique. Ask your driver to take you to Gianicolo Hill for stunning views of the city, visit Michelangelo's sculpture of Moses located in the beautiful little church of San Pietro, walk through Piazza di Malta or visit the ancient Appian Way and the fascinating catacombs. If you have more than one day to explore Rome, we suggest excluding St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican from this tour to maximize the time available for other points of interest. We recommend ending the tour with a stop at the Spanish Steps, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Rome and with the most beautiful views of the city. Climb the 138 steps and make the most of once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities, before returning to your private welcome car and returning to your accommodation.
